What to expect when you visit us for the first time.
Schedule your first visit by calling or emailing our team. We will email you the health history or you can arrive early for your appointment to complete forms in the office.
A one-on-one consultation will be conducted to discuss your health issues and goals, uncover the layers of past damage/trauma and to help determine the cause of your health issues.
A comprehensive chiropractic assessment will be performed to further determine the exact cause of your health problems. Using our clinical skills and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment we can help locate the root cause of dysfunction and disease within your body.
The assessment may include:
- Range of Motion- Bend forward, sideways, or backwards - Misaligned spinal vertebrae can be revealed during this exercise.
- Orthopedic Test- Perform specific tests to determine the exact components involved in your health problems.
- Neurological Exam- Balance, strength, reflexes, coordination, and muscle size can show signs of nerve damage
- Musculoskeletal Exam - Asymmetry, swelling, spasming, tenderness, and tissue tone can show signs of misalignments and nerve damage.
- Gait Analysis - Abnormalities in your walking pattern can show balance and alignment issues within your pelvis, spine and lower extremities.
- Postural Evaluation - Posture abnormalities will reveal whether or not you have misalignments within the spinal column.
- Motion and Static Palpation- Evaluates the alignment of your spine and other structures, as well as provides information on any stimuli that may cause pain or discomfort
These tests lead the doctor to a better understanding of your current state of health.
The doctor will advise you if additional tests are needed including any Chiropractic Posture Specific X-rays and/or Functional Health Tests.
A Report of Findings will be conducted at which time the cause of your current condition will be discussed. After reviewing your case, the doctor will decide if you are a candidate for chiropractic care and a thorough explanation of care recommendations and action steps will be discussed, including finances and how we can help you reach your health goals.
